An Introduction to Appreciative Inquiry
in Cities and Towns
Can your city or town benefit from focusing on your strengths and
creating positive relationships among diverse stakeholders?
Are you looking for how to produce results with staying power?
Positive Governing: Appreciative Inquiry in Cities and Towns is your introduction to achieving high engagement, innovation and action. You’ll learn practical techniques for bringing strength-based approaches into your work at the same time that you gain hands-on experience with the Appreciative Inquiry process.
Join representatives from Boulder County, Denver and Longmont as they share their stories on how their communities have benefitted from this innovative approach in diverse ways, including partnering on commuter rail, community branding, citywide strategic planning, aging services and police and fire services. You will leave with new skills for engaging city staff, officials and community members as well as ideas for creating positive change within your organization or community.
Rocky Mountain Center for Positive Change is pleased to partner with the Colorado Municipalities League and the International Association for Public Participation in offering this one-day introductory program focused on the needs of cities and towns.
